Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy performed very well following its initial release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Now, Activision has seen the game jump back up to number one in the UK thanks to its release on Nintendo Switch. The return of Crash has lit a real fire of nostalgia for thousands of fans and new players alike.
Crash Bandicoot Switch just released last week and it has taken the UK by storm, it seems. While we can’t say for sure just how many units were shifted on Nintendo’s hybrid machine, we can’t say we’re not surprised to see the game selling well once again. The N Sane Trilogy is a fantastic set of remakes and for a good number of Switch owners, this will represent their first time playing Crash games.

In quite the shock, Crash Bandicoot even beat Ubisoft’s The Crew 2 to the number one spot. The top ten also includes the likes of the perennial Fifa 18, God of War and even the return of Star Wars Battlefront 2. The full list can be seen below, the number in brackets denoting last week’s placement for the game (RE meaning it was outside the top-40 last week):
- Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy (22) (Activision)
- The Crew 2 (NEW) (Ubisoft)
- Fifa 18 (02) (EA)
- Mario Tennis Aces (01) (Nintendo)
- God of War (03) (Sony Computer Ent.)
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (04) (Nintendo)
- Star Wars Battlefront 2 (RE) (EA)
- Grand Theft Auto V (07) (Rockstar)
- Fallout 4 (05) (Bethesda)
- Far Cry 5 (12) (Ubisoft)
While it’s great to see Crash returning to the top of the UK charts, only time will tell how long he holds on. What we’d like to know, however, is who in the UK is still buying GTAV and Fifa 18? Surely everyone owns a copy of both, by now.
