During this year's E3 it was announced that the PlayStation Vita would eventually be included in Plus' offerings, and now that time has almost come.
In reponse to a user's comment on the European PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Store Content Manager Chris Howe confirmed that details on Vita's integration into the PlayStation Plus service will be released next week.
Look out next week for some news on the PlayStation VITA plus service.
At $50/year Sony has an opportunity to attract more gamers to the PlayStation family by providing monthly content to enjoy on two separate devices. Truthfully, it's a big move by Sony as long as the content is anywhere near as generous as what the PlayStation 3 has received.
The PlayStation 3 side of Plus took a few months to really get going, but it has grown into a service that pays for itself in free content and noteworthy discounts. Since the Vita isn't even a year old you can expect it to start off slow and ramp up in its offerings as the Vita matures.
Stay tuned for full details on the service which should arrive early next week.
