Megaman Zero developers Inti Creates‘ head honcho Takuya Aizu would love to remake Zelda II. In an interview with Nintendo Force magazine, the boss of the Japanese developer was asked what game in any Nintendo franchise would he make if he had an unlimited budget.
Is there hope for a possible Zelda II-inspired remake from Inti Creates!? Given their track record w/ Master Blaster and Curse of the Moon it would be amazing!

Aizu replied that he would love to make Zelda II: The Adventure of Link for the modern era. This is rather exciting news considering the pedigree of Inti Creates. Time after time (apart from Might Number 9) Inti Creates has proven itself to be able to create fantastic games. Not only are the company’s games great, but with retro-inspired titles such as Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon proved to be a success, the project could be in good hands.
But what could an Inti Creates developed Zelda II game looks like? Again judging based on their track record, it would be at its best as an 8-bit or 16-bit pixelated art style. This would, however, mean that the game wouldn’t look too dissimilar to the original Zelda II. If they went in another direction, it might end up as a disaster. Looking at their recent output, Inti Creates does best when working with an old-school style. This would mean that if the project were to go towards a 3D, but still platformer, direction, it might end up like Mighty Number 9. But all we can do now is wait and see.
But what do you think? Would an Inti Creates Zelda II tickle your fancy? Or should it never, ever happen? Sound off in the comments below!
