Attack On Titan is currently one of the hottest anime/manga properties on the planet. The highly-anticipated Season 3 of the anime series made its return earlier today on July 23, 2018. In order to commemorate that occasion, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force will be releasing an Attack On Titan 2 free update next month on August 9, 2018. It’s going to be a major update for the game, which originally launched for the PS4, Xbox One, PS Vita, Nintendo Switch and PC in March 2018.
The Attack On Titan Season 3 anime recently introduced a new character named Kenny. While he won’t be available as a playable character, players will be able to equip his hat when creating original characters. This means that he can probably be recreated by fans. The upcoming Attack On Titan 2 free update will also add the Heaven difficulty. It actually plays like a God Mode of sorts, where there will be an unlimited supply of consumable items like gas and blades and battle items like smoke signals.
Additionally, original characters created by players can also be given the unique skills of certain anime characters. This can be achieved by defeating any particular anime character that has reached level 10. For example, defeating Mikasa will grant the Ultimate Blade Art skill, which “greatly reduces blade durability losses on sufficiently speedy attacks.” These include characters like Armin, Jean, Conny, Sasha, Christa, Levi, Hange, and Erwin.
Players will be able to play previously online-only modes like “Showdown” and “Expulsion” in offline mode as well. Completing the Titan Biological Research Report will yield a Generic Statement of Deployment, instead of Titan Research Room EXP. The Titan Biological Research Report can also be carried out without the using Wings of Freedom.
