Castlevania

Castlevania Show Season Two Gets Trailer

The second season of Castlevania‘s Netflix show now has a trailer. The trailer depicts Alucard, Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades’ further adventures fighting against the evil vampire Dracula. The show is an adaptation of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse which was originally released in 1990 on the NES.

The trailer reveals that the second season will show more of Dracula’s minions, the evil vampire’s plan to rid the earth of humanity as well as what looks like a repositioning of the story’s focus to Alucard away from Trevor Belmont. The second season was initially slated to be coming out this summer, however, the eight-episode season was pushed back to be released October 26th.

Netflix described the second season of Castlevania as:

“Returning to Netflix for a second season, Castlevania, inspired by the classic video game series, is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes himself. Trevor Belmont, last survivor of his house, is no longer alone, and he and his misfit comrades race to find a way to save humanity from extinction at the hands of the grief-maddened Dracula and his sinister vampire war council.”

The same staff of Sam Deats as the director and Warren Ellis as the writer will be returning for a second season. For a good idea of what the show is like, read our interview with the producer of the show, Ali Shankar.

The first season of the show was very enjoyable so I’m quite looking forward to getting even more of it, despite its over-the-top nature. Hopefully, my expectations will be met.

But what do you think? Are you going to sink your teeth in season two of Castlevania? Or are you going to whip it away and banish it from your view? Sound off in the comments below!
