Policenauts came out 24 years ago on the NEC PC-9821, and we’re celebrating the cult classic by playing it on our Twitch channel. The game comes from critically acclaimed director Hideo Kojima, but it was unfortunately not released in English. However, a fan group has translated it (one of the best fan translations ever) so we can experience it together.
As an added bonus, we’ll be playing Policenauts on original hardware. The Saturn version has the best translation so we’ve got one hooked up to a Framemeister RGB-Mini upscaler so you can see the game in the highest fidelity possible.
