Activision has announced its games lineup for Gamescom 2018, less than one week before the launch of one of the world’s largest gaming trade shows. It will take place in Cologne, Germany, from August 21 to August 25, 2018. There will be a total of four playable games at the upcoming event, including a Sekiro Shadows Die Twice demo. The latest game from developer From Software will be playable for the first time ever, after it was originally announced at E3 2018 in June 2018.
According to Activision Blog, playable titles at Gamescom 2018 will also include Call of Duty Black Ops 4, the Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion, and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Sekiro Shadows Die Twice will be playable at the Activision B2C Booth in Hall 7.1, where there will also be a huge Corrupted Monk statue for taking photos with and the opportunity to get exclusive Sekiro Shadows Die Twice t-shirts.
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 recently held its first Multiplayer Beta, but attendees will be able to experience playing on a brand new map at Gamescom 2018. Lucky attendees can look forward to playing the Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion’s new Gambit mode ahead of its slated released on September 4, 2018. Last but not least, new gameplay from the Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be playable at the event, as gamers will be able to get hands-on with the remastered Spyro Year of the Dragon for the first time.
That’s not all Activision has to offer at Gamescom 2018, as the publisher confirms that there will also be news and announcements to share at the upcoming event. It certainly feels like this year’s edition of Gamescom will be an exciting one, with the considerable presence of major game publishers like Nintendo, Sega, and Bandai Namco, all of whom have announced their own lineup of playable game demos and more to showcase next week.
