Bfa Launch Sales

BfA Launch Sales Make it the Most Popular WoW Expansion

World of Warcrafts latest expansion, Battle for Azeroth has seen an outpouring of support from fans and the community who have shown their love for the franchise by opening their wallets. Sales numbers have come in, and BfA launch sales figures make this the most popular WoW expansion by a country mile. On Day One, over 3.4 million copies of the game were sold. The expansion has officially left its brethren in the dust; it outsold even the Illidan-encrusted hype train that was Legion.

While the conversation about the expansion seemed dominated by “What Ifs” and queries about the stat squish leading up to BfA‘s release, it’s clear that any doubts or concerns by fans weren’t enough to stop them from shelling out for the next big Azeroth adventure. Blizzard has already made its plans for the rest of the expansion clear, including outlining plans for upcoming raids, launch dates for further content, and the fact that it has plans to make the new factions that you’ve encountered in BfA playable Allied Races at a later date. If you’ve fallen in love with the Zandalari or the Kul’tirans, then this is definitely a space that you want to be watching.

These sales are a heartening sight for fans and Blizzard alike. While there were rumors circulating previously that BfA might be the last expansion for WoW, it looks like there’s still plenty left to be drawn out of the escalating conflict between the Alliance and the Horde. Blizzard’s further plans for the future also make it hard to believe that this could be the end of the line for WoW, and with sales as good as the ones that they’ve had recently, it makes no sense for this gravy train to pull into the station. With a ton of returning and new players arriving fresh to the expansion in the wake of efforts to revitalize the player base, it looks like the Blizzard’s hard work has paid off in cold, hard cash.
