Despite our best our best predictions, Microsoft has revealed the Xbox Games with Gold October 2018 lineup. The games are free with a subscription, and span both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.
According to Microsoft’s Major Nelson, coming to Games with Gold on October 1 are Overcooked for Xbox One and Stuntman: Ignition for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Following those on October 16 will be Victor Vran for Xbox One and Hitman: Blood Money for Xbox 360 and One via backwards compatibility.
Overcooked is a frantic, local co-operative cooking game where up to four players struggle to take orders and cook everything on time. Ghost Town Games developed the title, which released in 2016. The team has gone on to release a sequel in August of this year that we enjoyed quite a bit.
Stuntman: Ignition is a 2007 driving game where players are stuntmen in various fictional movies. The game was moderately well-received at the time, and was a unique scenario for a video game. As with all Xbox 360 games that come to Games with Gold, it will be playable on the Xbox One family of systems as well.
Victor Vran is a action role-playing game by Haemimont Games and sees players inhabiting the role of Vran. He is a demon hunter that must fight off the demons attacking the city of Zagoravia. Unlike many ARPG’s Victor Vran is a classless game, and can see Vran swapping weapons and skills freely. It is the newest game coming to Games with Gold in October.
Hitman: Blood Money is the final game coming to the Xbox 360’s lineup. Blood Money is widely regarded by many as the best title in the Hitman franchise. Players fill the shoes of Agent 47, an assassin for The Agency, as he attempts to assassinate various individuals. IO Interactive’s Hitman: Blood Money will be playable on the Xbox One alongside the 360.
Together the Xbox Games with Gold October games would cost a hair over $70, at $71.96 and the games have an average Metacritic score of 78.
