Square Enix has officially announced its lineup for the upcoming New York Comic Con 2018. The highly-anticipated event will take place at the Javits Center from October 4 to October 7, 2018. The Square Enix NYCC 2018 lineup includes a Just Cause 4 developer showcase, as well as playable demos of Kingdom Hearts 3, The Last Remnant Remastered, and more.
According to Gematsu, the Just Cause 4 developer showcase will be joined by key members from Avalanche Studios, where they will discuss the latest installment in the popular franchise. It will take place in Room 1A21 at 3:00 p.m. EST on October 5, 2018. NYCC 2018 attendees can also look forward to daily giveaways at the Square Enix booth, including Just Cause 4 merchandise and Life Is Strange 2 t-shirts.
Just Cause 4 was initially announced at E3 2018 in June 2018. It is slated to be released for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on December 4, 2018. A new trailer was recently released, which introduced us to protagonist Rico’s rival and details of the game’s story.
Additionally, there will be a total of six playable games as part of the Square Enix NYCC 2018 lineup. This includes hands-on demos of Kingdom Hearts 3, The Last Remnant Remastered, Dragon Quest XI Echoes of an Elusive Age, Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD, Just Cause 4, Life Is Strange 2, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Last but not least, fans of trading card games can try out the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game at the booth as well.
However, keep in mind that there will probably be limited spaces for the Kingdom Hearts 3 demo. Tickets to play the demo will be distributed at the Square Enix booth at 10:00 a.m. ET daily during NYCC 2018. In other related news, the game developer/publisher recently revealed the Kingdom Hearts 3 voice actors. This includes the returning voices of Haley Joel Osment for Sora, as well as several Hollywood actors reprising their roles from iconic movies like Frozen, Tangled, and more.
