Yo-Kai-Watch 4 Delayed

Yo-Kai Watch 4 Delayed In Japan

Rumors have surfaced that Yo-Kai Watch 4 is delayed in Japan. Level-5, the developers, have also potentially delayed another one of its games that was supposed to come out soon. The latest entry into the Yo-Kai Watch series was originally slated to release at some point this year on the Nintendo Switch.

Various sources have found that Yo-Kai Watch 4 and Inzauma Eleven Ares have been delayed in Japan. These two Level-5 developed games are the latest in each respective titles’ franchises. Both of these revelations were revealed via leaked copies of Coro-Coro children’s magazine. As mentioned before, Yo-Kai Watch 4 was originally slated for a release sometime this year. It is now expected to release in the spring of 2019. Inazuma Eleven Ares was originally supposed to come out this fall but is now delayed to winter. This is the second delay for the game with its original launch expected this summer. It will be launching on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and smartphones.

The ResetEra thread on the delay of Yo-Kai Watch 4 has shown a potential reason for its late release. Footage from last month’s Tokyo Game Show event shows the Switch game running rather poorly. In the off-screen footage, it can be seen that the latest Yo-Kai Watch game suffers from some major framerate issues, even when the console is docked. There is currently no official news on why either games have been delayed.

The Yo-Kai Watch franchise began in 2013 with a 3DS game, along with a manga and anime. It was first released in the West in 2015. The gameplay of the franchise works in a similar way to Pokemon except that players are tasked with befriending various Japanese creatures from the country’s folklore. Inazuma Eleven, on the other hand, began in 2008 with the first game releasing on the Nintendo DS. It has had a smaller amount of ports and releases in the west than Yo-Kai Watch.
