Battlefield 5 Story Trailer Released

EA has dropped a brand-new Battlefield 5 story trailer. Narrated by Mark Strong (of Kingsman fame), the trailer gives us a glimpse into the dramatic “War Stories” we’ll uncover in Battlefield 5. Rather than simply re-telling aspects of the Second World War, Battlefield 5 looks to be telling individual tales. Battlefield 5 is due to release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on November 20, 2018, worldwide.

Up to this point, we hadn’t seen much of Battlefield 5‘s story, but this new trailer has given us a good look at what we can expect from it. Based on the new Battlefield 5 story trailer, we’ll need to pack tissues for this one. It looks emotional. You can watch the story trailer for Battlefield 5 below:

According to EA and DICE, we are to “discover the untold stories of World War 2 with Battlefield 5’s single player War Stories.” Each War Story will tell the story of a single soldier, or unit in a different place and time during WW2. We will “resist German occupation in Norway” in Nordlys, “fight for a home you’ve never seen in Tirailleur, and in The Last Tiger (available in December) join the crew of a Tiger I as they question why they fight.” Each story promises to be a rip-roaring rollercoaster, with plenty of action too, going by the trailer.

The Battlefield 5 developers are taking to Reddit every day this week. New details are due to be discussed, alongside developer interviews and behind-the-scenes content. On Thursday, for example, we’ll learn more about the Battlefield 5 War Stories thanks to an interview with War Stories design director, Eric Holmes.

While Battlefield 5 is offering something a little different when it comes to story, it has some stiff competition. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is already out and proving popular (at least with digital sales). DOOM Eternal is due for release, too, on December 28.
