Earthfall Invasion Update

Earthfall Invasion Update Arriving Later This Month

Holospark has announced that the Earthfall Invasion update will be arriving later this month on October 30, 2018. The Invasion update will be the biggest post-launch update for the multiplayer co-op FPS game since it initially launched for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC earlier in July 2018. It will introduce a new game mode, progression system, and more.

According to PlayStation Blog, the Earthfall Invasion update will add a brand new game mode simply titled “Invasion Mode,” which will be a unique twist on the classic horde mode gameplay in other multiplayer games. As players fight against each subsequent wave of aliens, they will be able to unlock perks, such as the ability to print different and more powerful weapons, in addition to laying down traps, and gaining beneficial buffs.

Additionally, four new maps will be added in Invasion Mode. Only three have been revealed ahead of the Earthfall Invasion update, including Raven’s Roost, Satsop Nuclear Facility, and The Mines. These range from an abandoned nuclear facility to a remote radio tower.

Besides that, players can look forward to a new Player Progression System with new Skills and Perks. Every level earned by the player will unlock new outfits, weapon skins, weapon charms, and timed experience boosts. For experienced players, added challenges can be found by completing specific tasks in-game, which in turn will grant special skills like decreased weapon reload times or the ability to dual-wield certain weapons.

For those not familiar with Earthfall, it’s a multiplayer co-op FPS game in the vein of Left 4 Dead. Instead of zombies, players face aliens. Speaking of Valve’s iconic game franchise, rumors of a Left 4 Dead 3 in development escalated earlier this year when Turtle Rock Studios posted new job listings. However, no official announcement has been made since then, so gamers can satisfy their Left 4 Dead fix with Earthfall in the meantime.
