It begins today on October 31, 2018, from 12 PM to 9 PM in your respective timezone worldwide. So, get ready to catch more ghosts and ghouls today during the spookiest time of the year.
The Ghostbusters World Halloween event features Big Boss Breakout, where bosses in the game will spawn more frequently than they usually do. It’s the best opportunity to grab friends and family to hunt down these bosses, as gamers will be able to team up with up to three other players to battle everything from the iconic Stay Puft Marshmallow Man to the infamous Ghostbusters 2 antagonist.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Ghostbusters World is a free-to-play AR game in the vein of Pokemon Go. It’s available for free on Android and iOS platforms. Fans of the franchise will be glad to learn that the game contains an original story and exclusive art by the same creative team behind the IDW Ghostbusters comic book series. They can also look forward to encountering familiar faces like Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler, and Winston Zeddmore.
Besides that, there are hundreds of ghosts adapted and inspired by Ghostbusters‘ movies, comics, TV shows, and games, as well as brand new never-before-seen ghosts. The core gameplay will have players searching for ghosts using the P.K.E. meter from the movies. When facing ghosts, players deplete their health bars by using multiple proton-based weapons, including a rad Proton Shotgun.
