Skyrim Playing Grandmother Could Be a Character in Elder Scrolls 6

Seven years since its initial release, it’s fair to say that Bethesda’s epic Skyrim is still a popular game. And with what seems like a long way to go before we get our hands on Elder Scrolls 6, Skyrim may very well be the last title that some older fans get to play. And it’s this fear that has led a portion of the Skyrim community to immortalize streamer Shirley Curry and have her included as an Elder Scrolls 6 character.

Having already broken the Guinness World Record as the world’s oldest YouTuber, 82-year-old Shirley Curry suggested she may not be around to play the next Elder Scrolls game. Reacting to Peter Hines’ comments about the development period for TES6 with Eurogamer, Curry said that “When Skyrim 6 comes out I’ll be 88! So I probably won’t get to play it.” Having seen the comment from Curry, Reddit user phantom-scribbler organized a call for Curry to be added as a follower. In a post, phantom-scribbler asked, “How cool would it be to come across an elderly Breton who wants to kick some ass and asks to come along with you.” And a fair few people agreed with him because the post has sparked a petition on Change.org and even a full mod that will see Curry created as a follower in Skyrim. The petition currently has well over 2,600 signatures at the time of writing and doesn’t appear to be slowing down.

We will have to wait a while to see whether Bethesda takes the petition on board. But considering the following that Curry’s objectively heart-warming streams have amassed, it would be a great gesture for the company to make. Elder Scrolls 6 doesn’t have anything close to a release date at the moment and it’s thought that it will most likely feature on next-gen consoles.
