A Heartwarming Spyro Reignited Trilogy Easter Egg Has Just Been Discovered

A new Spyro Reignited Trilogy Easter egg has been discovered and it’s become one of the most heartwarming gestures from developers Toys for Bob. The Spyro Reignited Trilogy released a few weeks ago, sparking a huge sense of nostalgia for long-time fans of the game. Though the Easter egg has only been recently found, it highlights a story of what this game meant for some people growing up.

In his video, YouTuber Canadian Guy Eh found a painting of Doug the Bear in Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon after receiving a tip from a developer. The painting has the name “Parvinder” on it and it led him on a search around for the origins of the tag. He ended up on a Reddit post from user thechronoshadow (Arash Rai), who explains that Spyro 3 was the very first game they’d played and regularly enjoyed playing it with their mother.

Unfortunately, Arash was diagnosed with a treatable cancer and while his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 which later metastasized. Arash took to Reddit and asked if Toys for Bob, the developer of the Spyro remaster, would be willing to include his mother’s name in the game. After doing the rounds among YouTubers and other Reddit posts, Toys for Bob seemed to have received the message and included a small, thoughtful tribute to Arash’s mother, Parvinder.

It’s a lovely gesture on the developers part and one that Arash doesn’t just see for himself. In a YouTube comment of Canadian Guy Eh’s video, Arash said that the tribute is one that means “anyone that walks past the wall can think of their mom and all the wonderful things she’s done for us.” It’s a move that shows the deep connection some fans have made with the entire Spyro series and how the Reignited Trilogy has reignited those connections.
