Everybody likes free games, especially when those games are excellent and well worth playing for anyone, such as a great LEGO title or the LucasArts classic adventure Full Throttle Remastered. GOG and Humble Bundle are giving PC players a holiday present early this year, as both digital stores are giving away a major game each. You can get LEGO The Hobbit for free on Humble Bundle, and Full Throttle for free on GOG, but you better act fast, as both offers are only available for a very limited time.
Full Throttle Remastered can be claimed by heading to GOG’s giveaway page here, signing in or up for a GOG account if you haven’t already, and then simply clicking the button on the banner. You’ll get an email confirmation to say the game’s in your library. It’s to celebrate the start of GOG’s Winter Sale, but it’ll only be available until 6 a.m. PT.
LEGO The Hobbit can be grabbed at Humble Bundle by heading to the game’s page here and clicking “Get The Game.” Again, make sure to sign in with your account. You’ll get emailed a link for the game, and make sure to click on that link and claim your Steam key for the game, otherwise it’ll expire. You can then use the key to add the game to your Steam account. This offer will be available for the next two days.
Full Throttle is a classic LucasArts adventure from 1995, directed by Psychonauts and Grim Fandango creator Tim Schafer, about biker Ben and his attempts to get his gang back. It was remastered by Double Fine last year. LEGO The Hobbit, on the other hand, is another LEGO game from TT Games, who recently gave us LEGO DC Super Villains. It was released in 2014 and covers the first two movies in The Hobbit movie trilogy. Despite the absence of The Battle of the Five Armies,it’s well worth playing, especially for free. It’s probably more enjoyable than actually watching the movies…
