NieR Automata Book

NieR Automata Book Pre-Orders Now Open, Release Date Revealed

The NieR Automata book Short Story Long is now available for pre-order on Amazon. This upcoming novel is the first volume of a book series that seeks to explore the world of NieR Automata in greater detail. Readers will get to experience never-before-seen adventures involving 2B and her fellow robotic companions as they journey through a world packed full of deadly mechanical enemies.

Written by Jun Eishima and Yoko Taro, the NieR Automata book is the franchise’s first venture into the literary medium. It will be 256 pages in length. Six of the book’s chapters focus on 2B and four chapters focus on 9S. No age rating for the book is specified, although one might want to use the ESRB rating of “M” (age 17 and older) as a guideline for the appropriate audience. Short Story Long is noted to be Volume 1 and we can reasonably expect to see further written adventures in the world of this franchise. Jun Eishima has experience writing for other game franchises; his work includes three novels for Final Fantasy XIII-2.

The Nier Automata book has its first chapter dedicated to a mission featuring 2B and 9S. The pair of androids has come to a desert region seeking to meet an informant and exterminate some hazardous mechanical enemies in the area. Strangely, their targets are described as exhibiting unusual behavior and inhabiting an area that was smartly sealed off by soldiers on the ground. 2B, 9S, and their ally must tread carefully as they explore an underground area crawling with vicious enemies—and they find much more than they expected.

Although you might have to wait a bit for the physical release of the NieR Automata book, a digital version is already available for purchase. Simply head over to Viz’s website where you can purchase Short Story Long for $9.99 or your regional equivalent. A free preview of the book’s first chapter is also available for fans to enjoy. Otherwise, you can pre-order the first volume of the NieR Automata book Short Story Long by going to its store page on Amazon.
