Zynga Closing Baltimore Studio And Consolidating Other Offices

Zynga's Chief Operating Officer, David Ko, announced today on the Zynga blog that the company is still going through its massive restructuring process. As a result, they are closing the studio in Baltimore. He did point out that they were able to relocate everyone who requested so, but sadly, those who can't leave Baltimore for one reason or another are jobless.

In addition, Zynga is relocating everyone in their McKinney and Austin, TX offices to the offices in Dallas and North Austin. They are also consolidating all of their New York offices into their mobile office.

"These changes will further enable us to focus our resources on our most strategic opportunities," Ko explained. "We’re already working to execute on leveraging franchises to build the largest game network and be profitable on an adjusted EBITDA basis. We still have a lot of work to do, but I’m confident that we’re on the right path to deliver on the potential of Zynga."

For the employees' sake, hopefully this is the last of the closures for awhile. There's been far too many this year already.
