Microsoft is expected to blow the lid off of their next-gen console very soon, and we here at GameRevolution can't wait to see what Sony's competition has in store.
In an interview with Bloomberg Businessweek, SCEA's Jack Tretton made it clear that the company isn't terribly concerned about what Microsoft has up its sleeve. “We’ve always had different competitors," Tretton explained. "We were in the space before Microsoft and we may be in the space after Microsoft. We’ve seen competitors come and go.”
That said, Sony will most certainly be keeping close watch on what Microsoft does with its next console. “I think we are mindful of what they do and quite frankly we think that anything that adds tension and success in the gaming industry is good for us. So we are aware of the competition but we are kind of marched towards our own strategy. And we are very confident that holiday 2013 is a great time to bring out the PlayStation 4,” he added.
What does Microsoft have to do to prove to consumers that they have what it takes to compete against Sony's upcoming console? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
