Overwatch Lunar New Year 2019 skins list | Year of the Pig

The full roster of Overwatch Lunar New Year 2019 skins have finally been officially unveiled. The Korean Overwatch team had debuted a few of them ahead of the American team, but now they are all in the game as the event has finally gone live. Orisa, Reinhardt, Hanzo, and more have all gotten a new costume in addition to the general deluge of emotes, sprays, victory poses, and more spread across the cast.

These skins came in the new 2.58 update. The epic skins include General Brigitte and Sanye Orisa while the legendary skins are Guan Yu Reindhardt, Hong Gildong Tracer, Lü Bu Reaper, Huang Zhong, Zhang Fei Torbjörn, and Zhuge Liang Zenyatta. The first two skins cost 750 coins while the other six cost 3,000. All the skins from the last year and the year before have also been discounted to the normal rate: 250 for epic and 1,000 for legendary. You can see all of them in the slideshow below.

These skins also have history behind them and are not just from Dynasty Warriors. The Korean influences are shown in a few of the new costumes. The Orisa skin is based off the Lion tal costume. Tracer’s outfit is based on the Robin Hood-esque Hong-gil Dong. Brigitte’s is fittingly inspired by Korean military gear. The other five Overwatch Lunar New Year skins are based upon real-life figures in Chinese history.

The event also brings a highlight intro for Lúcio and emotes for Soldier 76 and Ana on top of the copious amounts of voice lines, sprays, and victory poses for a good portion of the cast.

The Overwatch Lunar New Year 2019 will run from January 24 until February 18, with players given 25 days to unlock the new skins. As always, the skins can be acquired at random by purchasing special themed loot boxes made available throughout the duration of the event.
