Anthem sales continue to lead the pack, with BioWare’s “loot shooter” maintaining its position as No. 1 on the UK boxed charts for a second week running. The rest of the chart has been given a real shake-up this week. New entries for The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame, Trials: Rising, and Dirt Rally 2.0. Far Cry New Dawn hasn’t let up, staying in the top five.
Koei Tecmo may be disheartened this week to see their new release, Dead or Alive 6, debut outside the top 20 at No. 21. Dead or Alive 6 has sold less than half of what Dead or Alive 5 did in its first week.
Elsewhere in the chart, Trials Rising, Dirt Rally 2.0, and The Lego Movie 2 Videogame made the biggest impression. The gold edition of the new entry into the Trials series snuck in at No. 10. From dirt bikes to rally cars, Dirt Rally 2.0 came in at No. 6. While the new Lego Movie 2 tie-in was the biggest disruptor at No. 4, sending Red Dead Redemption 2 down a place.
Far Cry New Dawn continues to show its longevity in the UK boxed charts. The Far Cry 5 spin-off has kept its place in the top 5 since release and is at No. 3 this week. Despite dropping a place, Red Dead Redemption 2 shows equally impressive chart stamina. It won’t be long until Rockstar’s newest game has been out six months, yet the title is going strong at No. 5.
Despite topping the chart last week, Anthem sales weren’t too impressive during their debut week. The game notably sold fewer physical units than that of the original Destiny. Also, BioWare’s Mass Effect Andromeda sold more during its first week. The rise of digital sales does add some context to the disparity.
Anthem players will have come across many conversations in the game, some of which require clever navigation to get what you want. We can help if you need help navigating Kassian’s K.S. game or the “Prism Tacit” conversation.
