F1 2019 release date

F1 2019 release date announced (and it’s surprisingly early)

Codemasters has announced the F1 2019 release date and those of you who are already on cruise control and expecting a mid-to-late season release window might want to shift into gear. That’s because the annual driving sim is screeching into sight earlier than ever before, with the F1 2019 release date set for June 28, 2019.

While previous F1 games under the Codemasters umbrella have seen fit to release in August, long after the fervor surrounding the F1 season has run out of gas, the earlier F1 2019 release date places it firmly alongside the Austrian Grand Prix at the tail-end of June.

As described by Codemasters in its F1 2019 reveal blog, this annual title (the eleventh such F1 simulation from the developer) promises to be “the most ambitious release in franchise history” thanks to it having been in development for the past two years.

To celebrate the news, and to offer a teasing glimpse of what’s to come, a F1 2019 trailer has also arrived, showing off the new car designs for the 2019 season. However, at the very end, you’ll even catch a glimpse of a F2 car. It’s possibly teasing a more well-rounded and extensive career mode, a feature that has been requested for years now.

The F1 2019 release date, trailer, and potential F2 tease isn’t the only thing that’ll have you inching towards your steering wheel controller either. You’ll also be able to get behind the wheel of this season’s 2019 regulation car, kitted out with all of the bells and whistles that’ve been introduced as a result of the several refinements the sport has undergone in recent years.

Codemasters is promising more details to follow in the coming months but, with the game’s release exactly three months away, F1 fans can look forward to taking their place on the starting grid sooner than ever before.
