A new Rage 2 trailer showcases more wild and explosive goings-on in the apocalyptic wasteland. The trailer features a whole bunch of ludicrous enemies you’ll have to take down as well as some of the more juvenile fun to be had. “This world is an arena, and it’s everything… versus me.”
The previous Rage 2 trailer showed off some of the outlandish weapons at your disposal in the game. This time around it’s the turn of the enemies you’ll face. The trailer cycles through a number of potential foes, with the narrator enthusiastically highlighting each one. From “that redneck mech” to “this convoy of death” there seems to be some crazy machinery for you to take down in Rage 2. You’ll also come up against glowing cyborgs, invisible samurais, and a “cyber crushers (with a laser on its head!).” Alongside the numerous enemies, the trailer sets more of the stage for Rage 2, giving us a better look at some of the different locations in the game. While much of the trailer is set in the bare wasteland, we get to see some of the more colorful and futuristic style of the game’s factories and outer structures.
The new Rage 2 trailer includes the series signature dose of humor as well. The narrator stops his furious listing of eccentric enemies to have an argument with a “smug cliff” and take aim at a buffalo minding its own business. According to the narrator, “the whole f**king world is out to get me, so I gotta get it first.” The trailer ends with a furious blitz of gameplay, cinematics, and more witty quips. The frantic conclusion brings together all the elements the trailers have showcased thus far to provide a comprehensive taste of the Rage 2 we’re going to get.
Rage 2 is slated for release on May 14 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Ahead of the game’s release, you can read up of some cheat codes already known to be included in Rage 2. Another interest inclusion, teased by Bethesda, is a voice pack featuring a certain diamond geezer.
