Travis Strikes Again DLC pulls from a bunch of different games (including the Legend of Zelda)

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is the latest title from famed creator Suda51 and his team at Grasshopper Manufacture. It’s a Nintendo Switch hack-and-slash that tasks players with going through a variety of video games to beat their bugs. Each world is themed after a popular video game, and the recently revealed Travis Strikes Again DLC will pull from even more.

To start, Bad Girl from the first Travis game will make a return. Her levels will be more difficult than most of the base ones, with a focus on traps. Henry Cooldown will make an appearance as well, alongside a final chapter of the main game that will set up whatever’s coming next for the franchise.

More interesting are Travis’ new DLC t-shirts. These sets are pulling from Dragon’s Dogma: Dark ArisenThe Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and Fire Pro Wrestling. The former two are fantastic additions as they’re well-loved video games by many (and apparently Suda), while the latter is a group that Suda recently worked with.

Finally, as you may know, Dragon’s Dogma will be on Nintendo Switch later this month. As part of this collaboration, the game will have a follow (or “pawn”) themed after Travis himself. The character will have his hair and scar, though not his beam katana. A fire-themed weapon will take its place there.

Despite the franchise’s cult following, No More Heroes (Amazon Link) is one of the weaker Travis titles. In our review, Alex Santa Maria calls it a “decent brawler that’s regularly interrupted by junky D-grade platforming.” It’s a game that should certainly satisfy long-time fans, however. On the Dragon’s Dogma side of things, take a look at why director Hideaki Itsuno wanted to make Devil May Cry 5 before jumping into a sequel for the beloved RPG. While things could have changed since then, we can expect a Dragon’s Dogma sequel next out of the creative genius.
