It's not common to see a game being just announced and have a release date set that's only a few months away. But this isn't really a new game announcement, it's the rebranding of the XCOM FPS that we saw at E3 some two or three years ago, that mysteriously disappeared, only to reemerge recently via rumors.
I had a hunch this was coming, but today 2K Games announced The Bureau: XCOM Declassified for release on August 20th, for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. And it's now a third-person shooter, not an FPS.
The 2K Marin-developed game takes place in 1962 at the height of the Cold War, and instead of taking on the Soviet Union, The Bureau finds themselves in a heated battle against… I'm not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens.
Here's the trailer 2K Games released. Call "The Burn Room", it shows absolutely no game footage. It must have been abducted and consequently, anally probed.
