CD Projekt: “There’s No Place For Multiplayer” In The Witcher 3

I don't know about you, but I love it when a studio stays true to their convictions and refuses to tack on unneeded "features" in the hopes of generating more sales. The Witcher developer CD Projekt RED is one such studio, as they've made it clear they won't compromise The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt by shoehorning in multiplayer.

"There's no place for multiplayer in so strongly a story-driven game as The Witcher 3," marketing head Michal Platkow-Gilewski told Eurogamer.  "We want to focus on the single-player experience, delivering more than 100 hours of truly immersive gameplay. Geralt can be only one."

Where do you fall on this issue? Is it wise for developers to not include multiplayer in today's single-player-heavy games? Does a tacked on addition like that tarnish the overall experience for you? Let us know in the comments below.
