2K Games Skips Out On E3 2013

The publisher behind Borderlands 2, X-COM: Enemy Unknown and Bioshock Infinite will not have a booth at E3 2013 in order to focus on next-generation development. "At 2K, we're excited for the new opportunities coming with the next generation of hardware," the company's statement reads, "and are hard at work preparing our announced titles for release."

Having just revealed The Bureau: X-COM Declassified and with a full slate of software in the pipe, 2K points out that "while [they] will not have a booth on the show floor…, we will have a lot of great news coming your way this spring." That good news also includes an iOS port of last year's X-COM game, the newly 2K-branded WWE, NBA 2K14, and further DLC for Civilization V.

It's not known whether Rockstar Games will have a presence at E3 2013, but don't get your hopes up as the studio behind September's Grand Theft Auto V usually doesn't show. You can bet the entirety of 2K's E3 booth budget is going into plastering subways and billboards with GTA.
