A Plague Tale: Innocence Uncut Gameplay Trailer

A Plague Tale: Innocence Uncut Gameplay Trailer shows us the horrors of medieval France

The A Plague Tale: Innocence Uncut Gameplay Trailer has been released, giving us a look at nearly eight minutes of gameplay. This upcoming title from Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive will have players taking on the role of 15-year-old Amicia De Rune in 14th century France. The Black Plague is devastating the countryside and The Inquisition is out in force; Amicia must use stealth and guile to evade her enemies in her efforts to keep herself and her younger brother Hugo alive.

The trailer opens with Amicia walking up to an outdoor area surrounding gallows made out of stone. A number of unfortunate souls are still hanging there, adding to the creepy atmosphere of the night. Amicia spends the first few moments collecting supplies before she uses a sling to fire off a rock and knock one of the bodies down to distract the guards. She’s then able to sneak past them and head into an underground area covered with bloody skeletons and positively swarming with plague rats.

The A Plague Tale: Innocence Uncut Gameplay Trailer continues with Amicia moving back above ground before she encounters another guard. Amicia gathers more supplies and crafts a knockout concoction called Somnum. She uses the Somnum to knock out a guard and continues moving on. The player is shown slipping past several more guards using a variety of distractions and careful movement.

As we approach the end of the trailer, Amicia finds a workbench and crafts some more items. Finally, Amicia heads into an attic where she discovers an Inquisition soldier looting a corpse. It is here where we see the true horrors of the plague rats; Amicia moves a light away from the guard and he’s torn to pieces as the rats swarm over him. She heads back outside, watches a couple of men carry away a box, and the trailer ends.

The eight minutes of gameplay showcased in this trailer gives us a good insight into what we can expect from the game.
