Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2 returning to E3 with ‘ambitious’ update

It’s been a few months since we’ve heard anything on Techland’s Dying Light 2. The first-person action game made a huge splash at last year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. However, since then, we’ve heard very little about how it’s coming along. But that is about to change.

The developer’s official Twitter account posted an update today, announcing that it will be at this year’s E3 event. With it, we’ll see what Techland has in store, with its “most ambitious project to date.” You can see the post, and a little teaser video, below.

As you can see, there’s not much to the update. But it does paint a promising picture for what’s to come in June.

Back in September, Techland provided more details on the game, including multiplayer and more. But it didn’t have a release date for us just yet, as it will still very heavy in development. However, with E3 2019, we should finally get an idea of when it’ll arrive. Hopefully, that means sometime this year.

The open-world survival game has a lot of promise behind it. This includes a much bigger world than ever before. In addition, freedom of choice can go a long way into restoring sectors of the city. And making key alliances – or enemies – could also shape the story much differently than you might expect. Parkour is also making a return, but we haven’t seen much more about it. Hopefully, the studio will detail these gameplay systems during E3.

We’ll let you know what Techland has for us closer to the show in June. There’s no release date at the moment, but it’s still coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
