In conjunction with the BBC, PlayStack London has revealed Doctor Who The Edge of Time via a mysterious new teaser trailer. The upcoming Doctor Who VR game has been announced with a September 2019 release date, and you can watch the Doctor Who The Edge of Time reveal trailer if you scroll down below.
Taking to YouTube to reveal the upcoming Doctor Who VR game, The Edge of Time, developers PlayStack London released a mysterious, spooky teaser trailer. The trailer doesn’t reveal too much about the game, however, not even which Doctor will play a part in the game, if any. It opts to show us a Dalek, an alien, and a Weeping Angel. Nothing in terms of gameplay is shown. It does look a little creepy, mind.
The description underneath the trailer tells us more about the game, however. PlayStack explains that in Doctor Who The Edge of Time “a new mysterious enemy threatens to tear apart the universe and only you can stop them!” The VR game will arm you “with the Sonic Screwdriver,” tasking you with solving “mind-bending puzzles,” grappling with “iconic monsters,” and encountering “new horizons in a quest to find the Doctor and defeat a powerful force that threatens to destroy the fabric of reality.”
If you are up to the task, you will need to grab your PSVR, Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, HTC Vive, or HTC Cosmos to play the VR exclusive game. Doctor Who The Edge of Time is scheduled to release this September on the aforementioned VR platforms. Get practicing with your homemade Sonic Screwdrivers in preparation for this one. All you budding Time Lords out there will be able to step inside the Doctor Who universe later this year.
