Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 X-Men characters revealed in latest Black Order trailer

The latest roster of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 X-Men characters came out to play in a new trailer. Wolverine has been a known character for some time, but it looks like he won’t be the lone X-Man in the game any longer. He’ll be joined by his X-Men compatriots, including some which deserve more time in the spotlight.

The trailer showed several new X-Men characters fighting alongside other known game heroes, such as Rocket Racoon and Thor. As of this newest trailer, here’s the roster of confirmed X-Men making appearances in the game:

  • Wolverine
  • Magneto
  • Mystique
  • Juggernaut
  • Beast
  • Psylocke
  • Nightcrawler
  • Iceman
  • Storm

An interesting trailer tidbit comes in the form of a portrait. For a few seconds in the trailer, we’re taken into the X-Mansion and shown a family-style photo of some of the X-Men. Included in the photo are Wolverine, Psylocke, Beast, Magneto, Nightcrawler, and Storm… as well as Cyclops and Colossus. Since everyone else in the photo is a confirmed character in the game, perhaps soon we’ll learn more about the roles Cyclops and Colossus could play. Both were included in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, so having them in the newest installment wouldn’t be out of the question.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Black Order is a Nintendo Switch exclusive set to release on July 19. Bringing together characters from the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, and more into the ultimate crime-fighting alliance, our heroes must fight the tyrant Thanos and his bloodthirsty Black Order to prevent utter universal destruction. You’ll race across the galaxy to gather infinity stones before the baddies can get to them, seeing familiar faces and places along the way. The story is a completely original tale from Marvel which can be played online or offline with up to four people.
