EA has finally released its EA Play livestream schedule during just before E3 officially starts. This year’s edition of its pre-E3 show will feature some of its most awaited games, while also dedicating time to its popular franchises. These streams will start around 12:15 ET on June 8 and will wrap up later that afternoon.
For this year’s event, EA announced that it was not doing the typical press-conference that most companies do during the week of E3. Instead, it would be hosting a number of livestreams featuring specific games.
The livestreams will start at 12:15 PM ET with a “Countdown to EA Play” pre-show. After this, EA starts the livestreams with arguably its most anticipated game on the show, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. Other games that will have livestreams are Battlefield 5, Apex Legends, The Sims 4, as well as the latest FIFA, and Madden NFL titles from EA Sports.
The complete schedule for the livestreams are as follows.
- 12:15 PM: Countdown to EA Play
- 12:30 PM: Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order
- Hosted by online personalities Greg Miller and Andrea Rene
- 1:00 PM: Apex Legends
- Hosted by commentator Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez
- 1:30 PM: Battlefield 5
- Hosted by online personality Julia Hardy and EA’s Adam Freeman
- 2:00 PM: FIFA
- Hosted by Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez
- 2:30 PM: Madden NFL
- Hosted by NFL Network’s Adam Rank
- 3:00 PM: The Sims 4
- Hosted by Andrea Rene
EA will be broadcasting these streams on its website, as well as on its Twitch and YouTube channels. All in all, the streams take up a bit over three hours, including the countdown show. This is about as much time as most E3 press conferences take.
Interestingly enough, EA previously stated that the livestreams would take place “during the first two days of the event.” Since the schedule only covers June 8, it may be possible that the publisher is planning more streams for June 9. It’s either that or replays for anyone who missed out the previous day.
Started in 2016, EA hosts EA Play in lieu of actually having a booth at E3. The company started the event as a more “fan-oriented” show, actually allowing the general public to buy tickets to access it – something E3 only started doing in 2017.
