Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Coming July 9th For $49.99

Back in April the Metal Gear Solid series reached a significant milestone of 33 million units sold to-date. Konami celebrated the arrangement with the announcement of what will be the ultimate possession for Snake fans: Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection

It's been revealed—accidently—that this July 9th you'll be able to purchase Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection for only $49.99. At that reasonable price you will be able to play the following:

  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions
  • Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty HD Edition
  • Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD Edition (which includes the MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2)
  • Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition
  • Two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels
  • 100 page artbook spanning the 25 year history of Metal Gear Solid
Pre-orders are already available on Amazon.com and presumably at retailers such as Best Buy and GameStop.

There has never been a better time to revisit some of the best stealth-action games in history. As seen above, the HD Collection version of MGS2 boasts visuals that could be mistaken for an early generation PS3 game. The same can be said about MGS3 and MGS: Peace Walker, all of which are included in this package of Hideo Kojima-esque proportions.
