No Xbox 360/Xbox One Cross-Platform Play

During the early days of a new generation of gaming, there's bound to be crossover between platforms. This fall, a number of games—not the least of which include the likes of Call of Duty: Ghosts and Watch Dogs—will be available for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to play with Xbox 360 gamers on your Xbox One (or vice versa) thanks to a lack of cross-platform support. "Because of the different architecture of the systems it's not possible," Harvey Eagle told Videogamer. "Your Xbox Live account on 360 will carry over to Xbox One. That same account will work on both platforms. The multiplayer won't."

The same applies to the PlayStation 3 and PS4, so you can't really fault Microsoft for not being able to make this work. Technology is a-changin', and there's bound to be some speed bumps as we all make the transition into the next-gen of gaming.

Is this going to pose a few problems for you and your gaming friends? Let us know in the comments below.
