Yesterday, we heard that the Cyberpunk 2077 fan who called Keanu Reeves “breathtaking” at the game’s E3 presentation was offered a special surprise from CD Projekt Red for creating an awesome moment that fans all over the internet have been loving. Amazingly, he has eschewed CDPR’s proffered gift of a Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s Edition in favor of something else entirely: a donation to charity.
That would be awesome, but how about donating a Go-Kart through @GamersOutreach to a Children’s Hospital instead? That would be #Breathtaking

“Hey. So. What about leaving you breathless again by sending you a Collector’s Edition next year?” read a tweet from the game’s official Twitter to Cyberpunk 2077 fan Peter Sark following yesterday’s events.
“That would be awesome,” Mr. Sark began, “but how about donating a GO-Kart through @GamersOutreach to a Children’s Hospital instead? That would be #Breathtaking.”
Some of the replies to this interaction were more than a little upset that Peter Sark turned down a gift that many of them would love to get. He has been called “rude,” “dickish,” and “trying to strong arm someone.” However, a subsequent reply from Peter Sark shows that CD Projekt Red has apparently taken up the Cyberpunk 2077 fan on his offer.
To the people saying I’m “strong holding” a company into donating a TAX DEDUCTIBLE $3.5k towards a Go-Kart for a Children’s Hospital instead of just accepting the CE they offered. Be better. Life isn’t just about games. It’s about giving back. #BeBreathtaking #YoureBreathtaking pic.twitter.com/PsEp2Iq9PY

“Of course we can also go ahead with your idea. Cool move!” read a DM response to Peter Sark from the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter. Peter then went on to explain just why he made this particular request.
“I’d really appreciate that,” he began. “My sister passed away at 17 from Leukemia in 2007, She used to stay at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, I would take my Xbox to her room to play, I’d love to give back to the hospital that showed us love when my parents would sleep next to her for months, unfortunately she didn’t make it, but I love supporting them always when I can.”
“Sorry to hear,” replied the game’s official account. “We’re happy to help – let’s stay in touch!”
While some people were upset about Peter Sark’s idea for a charitable donation, the “breathtaking” Cyberpunk 2077 fan decided that it was more important to think of others than himself when the opportunity arose.
