luigis mansion 3 release date

E3 2019 | Luigi’s Mansion 3 gameplay trailer shows new features

During the Nintendo Direct E3 2019 conference, we finally got a look at the Luigi’s Mansion 3 gameplay trailer. Happily, the game has not been delayed and will indeed be launching later this year.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 will take players back to a haunted house, where they will play as Luigi. He will be tasked with hunting down spooky ghosts using his trusty tools.

Luigi’s invited to a gorgeous hotel, with Mario, Peach, and the others. Unfortunately, “this hotel is more than meets the eye.” Shortly after the party’s arrival, everyone but Luigi mysteriously disappears, and it’s up to the green lad to face his fears and bravely hunt for his lost pals.

The trust Poltergust G-00 is a ghost busting weapon that boasts new abilities like the Slam, Suction Shot, and more, which will help Luigi to even the odds against the ghosts.

Sometimes ghosts will gang up on Luigi, and this is where his special Burst move comes in handy. The powerful air pressure releases and sends ghosts flying back. The Burst also gives Luigi a bit of air.

Professor E. Gadd is a character that will offer Luigi assistance. His latest invention is a goo clone called “Gooigi.” Gooigi can slip through metal fences, walk on metal spikes, and more to help. He also makes a great co-op partner, but just watch out for water, as that is Gooigi’s weakness.

In addition to the spooky combat against ghosts, players can expect to encounter plenty of puzzles that will make use of the many abilities Luigi boasts in this third installment.

The ScareScraper mode boasts minigames for local and online multiplayer gameplay.

The targeted Luigi’s Mansion 3 release date is still during 2019, but Nintendo hasn’t narrowed it down any further than that. When it does eventually release this year, it will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
