Fallout 76 Vault 94 Raid

Fallout 76 Vault 94 raid coming on August 20

Bethesda just lifted the curtain on the upcoming Fallout 76 Vault 94 raid. This raid will mark the debut of a new instancing technology coming to Fallout 76 alongside patch 12, which arrives first on PC on August 20. If nothing blows up or mutates after the initial release, the Vault 94 raid will be deployed on consoles as well.

The delay between PC and console releases is due to the unpredictability that a larger player base may add to the game. Internal tests may not be enough to address all issues, therefore Bethesda chose to go with this tiered approach.

The Fallout 76 Vault 94 raid sits right between The Mire and The Savage Divide. It was once home to the peaceful Dwellers, who were tasked with restoring the natural abundance of the Earth after the Great War. Now, its inhabitants are long gone but the Vault 94 remains, completely engulfed by nature. Explorers are now able to enter the vault and save it from destruction, while keeping an eye out for the precious resources that it holds.

The first Vault Raid for Fallout 76 offers some of the toughest challenges to date. You can venture solo, but it is highly recommended that you go as part of a full team of level 50+ characters.

The instanced nature of the Fallout 76 Vault 94 raid means that players outside of your team won’t be able to interrupt or affect your mission, as Bethesda states–everything that happens inside the vault is for your team only. Usually, MMO players aren’t too keen on instanced dungeons, but Bethesda is clearly trying to put a positive spin on it.

Vault 94 offers three different missions that you can tackle on Novice, Standard, or Expert difficulty modes. The first mission, Dead in the Water, opens on launch day, while Meltdown and Washout will be available on August 27 and September 3, respectively.

You can expect better rewards as you ramp up the difficulty mode. XP, caps, crafting materials, weapons, armors, and more are part of the deal, but the most daring explorers will earn plans to craft new Vault Armor sets.
