TimTheTatman WoW Classic World of Warcraft Classic disconnects

TimTheTatman on WoW Classic: ‘I hate this effing game’

Twitch streamer TimTheTatman went all-in on playing WoW Classic, but he also highlighted the love/hate relationship that many gamers are having with the game. While World of Warcraft Classic is a wonderful throwback to the early days of Blizzard Entertainment’s premier MMORPG, it hasn’t just replicated the gameplay and atmosphere, as it’s also suffering from many of the same problems.

“You don’t know what you’re watching, you’ve never played WoW?” TimTheTatman said in response to a question from a fan. “What you’re looking at is the greatest game ever created. Any questions?”

Immediately after he said that, an unfortunate coincidence highlighted the problem that many World of Warcraft Classic players have been dealing with since the game launched earlier this week: he got disconnected from the server.

“Son of a—” he began, putting his hand on his head in exasperation as the game showed the error code WOW51900319. “I just got DC’d as I said it, I hate this effing game. Hang on a minute. [laughs]

The timing could not have been more perfect, and TimTheTatman’s WoW Classic troubles certainly highlight an issue that many players have been having with disconnects. These troubles have only been exacerbated by the long queue times that players can look forward to.

Blizzard, for its part, is focused on improving the stability of the game and spinning up more realms to deal with the popularity of this revived MMORPG.

“With hotfixes that we are currently deploying to all WoW Classic realms, we are substantially increasing the number of players that can be simultaneously logged in and playing,” read a post from Community Manager Randy “Kaivax” Jordan. “We expect this to result in smaller queues for realms that have large queues, and some realms should no longer have queues at all. We will closely monitor performance and stability throughout this process. Thank you very much.”

While tracking down the disconnects problems may prove a challenge, the increases to the numbers of simultaneous players should at least help alleviate the after-effects of random disconnects. Hopefully, the game’s situation will improve in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can watch TimTheTatman’s hilarious WoW Classic moment below.
