The long-awaited Tokyo Mirage Sessions release date was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct. A lot of information was revealed about the upcoming title like playable characters, the Fire Emblem crossover, gameplay details, and a whole lot more. If you’re looking to pick up Tokyo Mirage Sessions, you’ll want to check out all that the Nintendo Direct has to announce, starting with the release date which is January 17, 2020. Pre-orders will be available later today.
The Direct revealed that the game would take place in none other than Tokyo, where players must save the city from Wicked Mirages, who are trying to collect an abundance of creative energy known as Performa.

Players will have to team up with a variety of characters who will be trying to stop the Wicked Mirages at all costs possible. However, defeating them won’t be an easy task, so you might need some extra help. Thankfully, there will be two Fire Emblem characters that will appear in the game from another dimension to lend a helping hand. Chrom and Caeda will both be appearing Tokyo Mirage Session as playable characters who will help you survive the crisis. Caeda is the princess of Talys and Chrom is thr prince of the Halidom of Ylisse in the Fire Emblem series. The former is also spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate while the latter is an Echo fighter of Roy.
In addition to all of this, the Nintendo Switch version of Tokyo Mirage Sessions will feature a new song that wasn’t included in the original. While this isn’t a big addition, it is still something special for fans. Unfortunately, players still have a couple of months to wait until release. In the meantime, there will likely be more information released as the Tokyo Mirage Sessions release date draws a little bit closer.
