Apple iPhone 11 release date price

Apple iPhone 11 release date, price, and features revealed

As it does every year, Apple has officially introduced the iPhone 11 to the world during its special event. The Apple iPhone 11 release date was announced, with the successor of the iPhone XR improving on the specifications of the popular model. The iPhone 11 price is $699, and it comes in six colors: Purple, Yellow, White, Green, Black, and Product Red.

This new budget model in the iPhone line comes with a greater focus on video recording and image quality. Apple also announced the iPhone 11 Pro starting at $999, and iPhone Pro Max retailing for $1,099. Pre-orders begin on Friday, September 13 at 5AM PT/8AM ET, while shipping starts on September 20.

The iPhone 11 comes with a 6.1-inch display and has stirred up some debate due to the design of its three rear cameras. The iPhone 11 features a dual-camera system with a 12-megapixel wide camera, along with a second 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, supporting 2x optical zoom.

The Night Mode of the Apple iPhone 11 was one of the highlights of the announcement, allowing you to capture night shots with improved brightness, focus, and clarity. This feature will compete with Google Pixel’s Night Sight mode and the results revealed at stage were incredibly convincing, reducing noise and delivering a quality night photo.

Video is where the iPhone 11 is expected to excel, with a significant part of the showcase highlighting this aspect. A video showing three muscle cars in a snowy environment served as an impressive display of the 4K and 60 frames per second camera’s quality. The front camera is also capable of recording using the same specs, with slow motion added to the mix. Rotating the iPhone 11 to landscape wide angle selfies is an option that Apple suggested.

Apple seemed invested in starting a new trend called “Slofies.” This new concept consists of mixing selfies with slow motion recording, resulting in slow-mo selfies.

The Apple iPhone 11 is powered by the A13 Bionic chip. This is the successor of the iPhone XR’s A12 Bionic chip, with a benchmark chart comparing it favorably to Samsung Galaxy S10+’s Snapdragon 855, Huawei P30 Pro’s Kirin 980, and Google Pixel 3’s Snapdragon 845 chips. Unsurprisingly, the A13 Bionic chip beats the competition according to the chart, being advertised as the fastest CPU and GPU ever in a smartphone.

The Apple iPhone 11’s battery life is one hour longer when compared with the iPhone XR, with faster face recognition technology. The device is also said to be water resistant up for depths to about two meters or 6.5 feet.

The next part of the event focused on the gaming side of the iPhone 11. Developer Yang Yang from Giant Network took to the stage to demo a dark fantasy action game called Pascal’s Wager. Scheduled to launch in October on the App Store, the demo showed a couple of heroes battling horrific beasts, with the later part of the gameplay focusing around the flight of a crow. While it was an impressive demo, it mostly left the crowd jaded, with little to no reaction during the minutes that it took to reach the end.

Apple has revealed trade-in deals for the three models. You can purchase the iPhone 11 with an iPhone 8 Plus trade-in from $399 or $17 per month; the iPhone 11 Pro with an iPhone X trade-in from $599 or $25 per month; and the iPhone 11 Pro Max with an iPhone X trade-in from $699 or $29 per month.

The Apple iPhone 11 release date is September 20, 2019, retailing for $699. Considering the price and the improved specs, the iPhone 11 is likely to be a convincing prospect for many Apple fans. The iPhone XR, however, will remain available at the price of $599.
