Have you ever thought to yourself, “Why buy a brand-new, top-of-the-line gaming PC when I can spend $2,590 on a really long t-shirt?” No? Yeah, me neither, but Louis Vuitton thinks there’s a market out there for League of Legends players who are into high fashion with the debut of the LVXLOL line of clothes and fashion accessories.
The LVXLOL line of products — presumably meaning “Louis Vuitton x League of Legends” — includes a wide range of clothing, fashion accessories, jewelry for the gaming with a discerning fashion sense. Now, I’m not one to knock someone who likes to wear nice clothes, but I’m having a hard time reconciling what we see here with their prices.
ALSO: Dying Light x Chivalry crossover is as bizarre as it is unexpected
For example, that LVXLOL Embroided t-shirt dress seen in the header — that’s the really long shirt, by the by — is $2,590. Taking a few inches off the bottom incurs a nice discount with the regular short sleeve t-shirt only running you a cool $865. You can actually get the LV Diamond Bracelet cheaper for the low price of $400 — that’s basically a game console on your wrist right there.
As silly as these prices may same, gaming and fashion do occasionally mix. As an example, here’s a tweet featuring the legendary Zenyatta player Jjonak for the Overwatch League team the New York Excelsior. To the casual observer, nothing seems terribly out of sorts or outstanding. To the sneakerheads out there, however, Jjonak is rocking some killer kicks.
The Balenciaga's on @goatapp all going for $1000+. Good to see JJ is being paid well for those head shots! pic.twitter.com/gGWl42PrEC

Yes, you read that right — that is a pair of sneakers worth at least one thousand dollars.
Now, I personally can’t see the appeal in spending the cost of a gaming PC on a hoodie or buying an $845 bucket hat instead of a Valve Index, but it seems pretty clear that at least some portion of the Esports scene likes to spend a lot of cash on clothes. Whether or not the crossover appeal will be enough of a market to keep this LVXLOL line going is something we’ll have to wait to find out. In the meantime, you can see all of the high-end League of Legends gear at the Louis Vuitton website.
