With today’s reveal of the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass, fans got a whole bunch of information about all of the new things we can expect to see in this year’s DLC. It’s not all new stuff, though — the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansions are also featuring the return of some old friends.
First, a quick recap: a whole bunch of Pokemon were left out of Pokemon Sword and Shield, causing fans to be rather upset about the whole thing. Many classic ‘mons were seemingly left out, but that appears to be (partially) reversed with the reveals in today’s Pokemon Direct.

One of the key Pokemon highlighted was Slowpoke who will making its appearance in the Galar Region. Players will be able to evolve it into Slowbro or Slowking with using items from the new areas debuting in the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass. They will be able to evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro by using an item found on the Isle of Armor. Alternatively, it can be evolved into Galarian Slowking with an item from the Crown Tundra, the second part of the Expansion Pass that’s coming in the Fall of 2020.
Slowpoke isn’t the only Pokemon making his return in the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansions; here’s who else we spotted during the Pokemon Direct. Do note that in some cases, only one of an evolution chain was seen, so the related Pokemon are implied.

The Pokemon Direct stated that more than 200+ Pokemon will be a part of the Isle of Armor and the Crown Tundra, so odds are this isn’t yet a complete list.
