The PS5 DualSense controller looks pretty darn cool, but how well does it actually work? According to multiple game developers, this upcoming PlayStation 5 controller is going to be pretty darn great.
“I absolutely love it. It’s an amazing design, as futuristic as we should expect in 2020 – the sci-fi times we already live in,” Dying Light 2’s Lead Game Designer Tymon Smektala said to Push Square. “As for the shape, we need to see how it will fit in the hands, but looking at it I get very good vibes – I think it has a chance to be one of the best in history, just big enough but neat & funky at the same time.”

Praise for the new PS5 controller was equally strong from Tequila Works, the developers of RiME and the Stadia exclusive GYLT. According to Tequila Works’ CEO Raúl Rubio, the PS5 DualSense controller is a “quite intelligent application of technology.”
“For example, the built-in speaker, which offers many possibilities to create actions within the game where everything is contextualized; as if someone starts calling you on the phone, for example,” Rubio stated in a machine-translated interview with Spanish-language gaming site MeriStation. “These are details that add immersion.”
