Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Beowulf mission is coming for Season Pass holders

An Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Beowulf mission is coming for Season Pass holders. If you decide to pick up the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season Pass, you’ll not only get a pretty cool Viking adventure — you’ll also step foot into one of the most legendary epic stories of Western history.

The German Ubisoft store has information on what’s coming in the Season Pass (via GamesRadar). On this page, it mentions that the story mission “The Legend of Beowulf” will be included in the Season Pass; players can “discover the cruel truth behind the legend.”

If it’s been a few years since your last high school English class, Beowulf is an epic poem written in Old English from c. 700–1000 CE. Set in Scandinavia, it talks about how Beowulf helped out the Danish King Hrothgar. The king has been bothered by a monster known as Grendel, so our hero decides to kick its butt (and then does the same for Grendel’s mother, for good measure). Eventually, he becomes a king and fights a dragon because Vikings know how to party.

It’s unclear if the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Beowulf mission will be exclusive to the Season Pass or will simply be a part of the DLC. For now, it looks like you’ll have to grab the Ultimate Edition or the Season Pass to play it.
