Tom Clancy Passes Away At 66

Tom Clancy, the highly respected writer behind the CIA-centric tales of Jack Ryan, has passed away. He was 66.

In addition to writing a number of beloved novels, Clancy co-founded Red Storm Entertainment, the studio that brought to life both the Rainbow 6 and Ghost Recon franchises, which have gone on to be two incredibly successful series within the video game industry.

Ubisoft is currently developing a new entry in the Rainbow 6 series, dubbed Rainbow 6: Patriots. Here's to hoping the game turns out to be a major success, living up to the Tom Clancy name.
