Alanah Pearce announces she’s leaving Funhaus and Rooster Teeth

Alanah Pearce has revealed that she is leaving Funhaus and its network Rooster Teeth, with the host announcing that she is departing to take part in an opportunity she “couldn’t say no to.” Alanah appeared in videos for Funhaus alongside hosting Rooster Teeth’s Inside Gaming show.

Alanah made the announcement on YouTube, saying that she believes her audience will “understand” her departure once they learn of what the new opportunity she’s pursuing is. However, she did not share details of her next career move in the video. “My job at Rooster Teeth has been so much fun that, even to me, leaving seems insane,” she said.

Alanah also noted how her departure isn’t to do with the recent controversies surrounding Rooster Teeth, which included former hosts Ryan Haywood and Adam Kovic being fired from the network following allegations of sexual misconduct.

“There is more that the [Funhaus] team has learned [about Haywood and Kovic] than the public is currently aware of … but I am 100% not leaving Funhaus because of what transpired there,” she noted.

She also added that more information was learned by Funhaus and Rooster Teeth as more allegations emerged, but that none of these details will be made public out of respect for those involved and also for legal reasons. Alanah also claimed that the Funhaus team was now “more unified” than it had been previously in the wake of the backlash.

Alanah joined Funhaus and the Rooster Teeth network after departing IGN in 2018. Alongside her success with RT, Alanah also created videos for her personal YouTube channel separately from her work with Funhaus, with her garnering over 500,000 subscribers.
