Sackboy gets stylish Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima costumes

Four Sackboy Digital Deluxe Edition costumes have been revealed, highlighting an intriguing crossover promotion with several prominent PS4 games. Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, and Days Gone costumes will let you run through this upcoming platformer in style.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is an upcoming game for the PS5 that will continue the adventures of the plush hero first introduced as the protagonist of LittleBigPlanet. Unlike the previous games, Sackboy will put players into a platforming environment rather than creating their own levels to share with their friends. The Digital Deluxe Edition of this game also happens to have some neat surprises for longtime PlayStation fans.

The four Sackboy Digital Deluxe Edition costumes each represent an iconic PS4 game released in the last two years. Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima were popular games, but the other two choices are somewhat stranger. One costume is a Deacon St. John costume from Days Gone, a relatively solid game that nonetheless had some pacing issues throughout its campaign. The fourth and final costume is a Connor Costume from Detroit: Become Human, one of multiple Quantic Dream games that were ported to PC last year.

The stylish PS4 costumes appear to bring more than cosmetic changes to the protagonist of Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Each costume also showcases some special animations; it’s likely that these animations represent the four emotes that players will also get as part of the Digital Deluxe Edition.

Players hoping to get their hands on these costumes will have to spend a few extra bucks on this PS5, though — they will only be available as part of the Digital Deluxe Edition. This version of the game will include the four Sackboy Digital Deluxe Edition costumes, four emotes, a digital artbook, a digital soundtrack, and 20 avatars. Unfortunately, players will have to pay $79.99 to get it — $20 higher than the game’s launch price of $59.99.
