Rockstar Updates GTA Online Community With Good News And Bad News

Rockstar Games took to their Newswire blog to detail a few upcoming Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online content packs, as well as to share some bad news about the impending Stimulus Package cash.

Earlier this month, Rockstar Games promised GTA Online players $500,000 of in-game money for apartments and car modifications (and the prostitutes and drugs that such instantaneous fortune brings) to make up for the rough launch. Unfortunately, that payment, which was already being split in half, has been further delayed so that Rockstar can ensure further character and progress don't force them to give out even more digital money that they'd really rather you paid for.

Now, the developer is saying that "a few more tweaks and fixes… in a new title update" will soon make the transfer safe. While the delay is disappointing, especially given how hard it is to grind up cash in the online mode, players will be happy to know that the first content packs will arrive soon.

The first, titled The Beach Bum Pack, will add completely new beach-themed vehicles and new weapons for causing havoc in the sand and surf. New tattoos, hairstyles, and new Online jobs will also be added in this content update. All of this content (aside from the multiplayer GTA Online missions) will be available in single-player as well. The Beach Bum Pack drops in November completely free of charge.

The Content Creator update, which will allow users to create their own races and deathmatches in-game, is still on its way this Fall and Rockstar is also planning new Social Club Event weekends, likely increasing pay-outs or experience points gained from online play.
