Cyberpunk 2077 missable missions

Cyberpunk 2077 has missable missions that can auto-fail

Cyberpunk 2077s missions and characters have consistently garnered praise amidst the launch controversy. It’s unfortunate, then, that user reports are indicating several side missions can automatically fail. At a time when CD Projekt RED could use some good publicity, these Cyberpunk 2077 missable missions are proving controversial.

Cyberpunk 2077 can lock players out of content

Cyberpunk 2077 missable missions

Taking on side jobs in Cyberpunk 2077 comes with a risk; it’s possible that they may never be seen through, through no fault of the players’ own. An official Q&A revealed that quests can be failed two years ago, but gamers probably didn’t expect that many of the fail states would be out of their hands.

Ignoring radio contact can cause missions to auto-fail — even when ill-equipped at the time — as can leaving a mission area instead of completing a new task immediately. Progressing through the main story can also lock players out of Cyberpunk 2077 side content.

To avoid losing access to side jobs in Cyberpunk, it’s a good idea to complete them immediately. Since the game offers multiple save slots, be sure to make frequent use of them. In the event that a quest does fail, simply reload a recent save to avoid any potential headaches.

Although they don’t quite fit the same definition, there are also missable main quests in Cyberpunk 2077. These relate to the life path chosen during character creation and decisions made throughout the primary questline. Seeing every main mission will take multiple playthroughs with different characters, as there’s no New Game Plus.

CDPR is currently offering refunds to all Cyberunk 2077 owners that are unhappy with the game’s performance on consoles. Many players believe that the game could’ve used another delay, and they aren’t necessarily wrong. Regardless, with a little extra care, it’s possible to avoid auto-failing missions and the associated frustrations.
